Family Travel Session | San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
During October we traveled through San Miguel de Allende, a beautiful, mountain town in Guanajuato, Mexico. Such a special place in the world, and a beautiful place to photograph. Cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, 17th century churches, endless art and music, flowers everywhere, hot air balloons in the mornings, fireworks overnight. So much goodness. While we were there, we connected with a group of other traveling families for a pop-up worldschooling community – a way for families to explore and learn and play together. I was thrilled to take part in this community, and also to photograph some families on their travels.
Here is one of these lovely families, coming to Mexico by way of all over the world. This family has been traveling for the past decade to over 35 countries. And they were so.much.fun. to photograph. They had their favorite poses they’ve done in different locations. They had playful ideas for what to do around the places we went. And they were genuinely just so fun and loving. I can only imagine how awesome it would be to join them on their adventures. And what do you know? You can! They host immersive experiential learning adventures for families around the world. You can find out more and follow along at Worldschool Academy. Thanks to R+G for having me photograph them and their family.
Here are some of my favorites from our sunrise session:
