Family Travel Session | San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
We’ve been traveling during the past month in San Miguel de Allende, a beautiful, mountain town in Guanajuato, Mexico. Such a special place in the world, and a beautiful place to photograph. Cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, 17th century churches, endless art and music, flowers everywhere, hot air balloons in the mornings, fireworks overnight. So much goodness. While we were there, we connected with a group of other traveling families for a pop-up worldschooling community – a way for families to explore and learn and play together. I was thrilled to take part in this community, and also to photograph some families on their travels.
Here is one of these lovely families – in fact, creators of this pop-up community. I know A+O back from New Jersey, and photographed them just before they left to do some longterm traveling. You may remember this beautiful family and their nurturing gardens from this session here. Since then, they’ve gone around the world and have settled into San Miguel for a spell to help bring life to and take part in these special communities. It is always so wonderful to photograph friends, especially ones full of such love and laughter. I loved playing with A+O and their girls on this night, and for all the time we spent together in SMA. I can’t wait until our travels take us back on the same patch of earth again.
Here are some of my favorites from our sunset session:
