Family Travel Session | San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
We’ve been traveling for the past month in San Miguel de Allende, a beautiful, mountain town in Guanajuato, Mexico. Such a special place in the world, and a beautiful place to photograph. Cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, 17th century churches, endless art and music, flowers everywhere, hot air balloons in the mornings, fireworks overnight. So much goodness. While we were there, we connected with a group of other traveling families for a pop-up worldschooling community – a way for families to explore and learn and play together. I was thrilled to take part in this community, and also to photograph some families on their travels.
Here is one of these lovely families, coming to Mexico by way of Utah. Such fun to photograph and play with them. It was just after sunrise, when we knew the streets would be quiet(er). But still, I got to see a hot air balloon rising in the distance, hear church bells ringing and rub elbows with plenty of folks going about their day. Thanks to M+D for a lovely time together. I hope they have a wonderful rest of their adventures in San Miguel and wherever their travels take them next.
Here are some of my favorites from our sunrise session:
